PE and Sports Premium

The Government provides funding to support the delivery of PE and sport in primary schools.

This funding is ring fenced, and is allocated directly to primary schools across England. The amount each school received is based on a lump sum and then a smaller amount of per-pupil funding.

Schools must spend the funding to improve the quality of PE, sport and physical activities they offer their pupils, but they are free to choose the best way of using the money.
