Illness and Infections
We follow national guidance published by UK Health Security Agency (HSA) when responding to infection control issues.
Exclusion periods for infectious diseases
The school follows recommended exclusion periods outlined by the UK Health Security Agency and other government guidance. A summary of those are below:

Pupils (and staff) vulnerable to infection
Some children and adults are particularly vulnerable to certain infections including chickenpox, measles or slapped cheek disease (parvovirus B19).
It is very important that you inform us if your child has a suspected or confirmed case of these infections.
We will send out a message to the school community to let them know when a case has been brought to our attention so that everyone is aware and can recognise the symptoms. Parents with vulnerable children will be informed promptly so that they can seek further medical advice if necessary.
