About the School Day
Office opening times
9:00am to 10:00am and 12:00 to 4.15pm
Please note: Between the hours of 10.00am to 12.00pm every day the office will be closed (except in an emergency).

Arriving at school
- School gates open at 8.40am
- Please use the pedestrian gates to drop in and pick up your child(ren)
Attendance register
Children are collected by their teachers and registers are taken promptly at 8.45am (Reception and Year 1) and 8.50am (Years 2 to 6).
End of the school day
Children will be brought out to the playground by their teacher at the end of the school day.
Please note that:
- children must be collected promptly at the end of school hours
- class teachers must know who is collecting your child. Please email the office or hand the class teacher a written note if anyone other than you will be collecting your child.
- in an emergency if you are unavoidably detained, please telephone the school office (01225 421786)
Reporting absences
If your child will be absent during the day, please email the school office by 9am on each morning of your child’s absence giving details of their symptoms, avoiding ‘poorly’ or ‘unwell’: attendance@wasp-school.org.uk
Holidays
Pease note that holidays in term time are not permitted except in exceptional circumstances. To request holidays please use our Request for term time absence form.
