Letter to parents of SEND pupils, from Vicky Ford MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Children and Families, 24th March 2020

Note from Headteachers, Wed 25th March 2020

We have received many wonderful messages of support and appreciation for what our teachers are doing.  Thank you so much; they mean a great deal to all of us.

We have also received some requests for individual teachers to take part in video conferencing or Zoom sessions and the like.  We are not doing that at this time, but we are exploring ways for us all to stay in touch with you.  For starters, take a look at the Showcase page and listen to ‘Story Time’ – Danny the Champion of the World!

We have been shared this helpful booklet that explains about Coronovirus in a child friendly way.  Please share it with your children if you feel it would help them.

Co-vid 19 update:
5.30pm Thursday 19th March 2020

Letter to parents from David Gregory, CEO, TBMPT, especially ‘key-workers’ – urgent response needed (19th March 2020)

Drop-off and Pick-up
When you are bringing your children to school, please wash everyone’s hands before leaving home, then say Goodbye and hand over your child(ren) at the threshold.  The children will then be asked to go in and wash their hands again before going in the classroom.
We are asking all adults to please NOT come into the school buildings.
At the end of the day, children will again wash their hands before leaving school.  Please meet them outside and do not expect to come into the building.  We are doing all we can to maximise ‘social distancing’ within the constraints in school.

Home Learning
You will now find resources to support your child’s home learning, on their year group page.  This will be regularly updated by the teachers.

Please see the latest government advice for schools:

People who have a new, persistent (dry) cough, and/or a temperature of 37.8 degrees Celsius, or above, and those who live with someone showing symptoms are being asked to stay at home for fourteen days (ten school days).

People with symptoms are no longer required to call 111, as the system is over-busy, but are urged to look on the NHS website and 111 online.

If your child, or anyone in your household has the above symptoms, please keep them home for ten school days and contact the school office to report that this is what you are doing.

Welcome to Weston All Saints Church of England Primary School (WASPS) on the Web!

Here you will find out about what we’ve been doing recently, information about the school and all the important dates you need for your diary.

WASPS is a Church of England Academy with close links to All Saints Church in Weston, on the outskirts of Bath.

In 2018 we became part of The Bath and Mendip Partnership Trust. More information can be found on the Trust website, by clicking here. Being part of a Multi-Academy Trust means we work very closely with other local schools to continue to drive up standards for all our children.
