Choosing a new school for your child is an incredibly important decision and we would like to support you at any point in the process. We are happy to answer any questions or show you around our beautiful school whenever is convenient – we very much look forward to welcoming you to WASPS!

We arrange Open Sessions throughout the school year and will share upcoming dates soon.

Reception admissions
Families whose children are due to start school for the first time in September should apply for a place through Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) Council.
You can refer to the step-by-step guidance provided here ‘Apply for a primary school place (Reception)’. It explains the application procedure and the time frame for submitting applications. You can also download a copy of the Primary Admissions Booklet.
Parents will be told which school their child has been allocated in April each year. If you’re not offered your first-choice school, you can appeal the decision. Your decision letter will tell you how you can do this.
Once we are notified by B&NES Council that your child has been allocated a place at our school, we will contact you with an invitation to take part in our induction programme. This provides an opportunity for you and your child to learn more about the school and meet the class teachers and for us to find out more about your child.

If you are moving to the local area or thinking about changing your child’s school we currently have places available in some year groups at WASPS.
