Lunch time at WASPS

At WASPS we serve excellent quality, fresh food every day in our Café Hall. Our school meals are made on-site by an external catering company, Aspens.

They are happy to cater for children with most food allergies, special dietary requirements and food intolerance.

There is always a choice for everyone!

At WASPS we are proud of our school menu, which provides all of our pupils with healthy and nutritious meal options, which are all prepared and cooked on site. 

However, if you prefer, you can provide your child with a healthy and nutritious packed lunch containing, for example:

• Sandwiches or rolls with fillings such as cheese, ham, egg
• Carrot or cucumber sticks
• Piece of fruit, such as an apple or a peeled orange
• Yoghurt or fromage frais
• Water

Please note:

We don’t allow salty snacks and chocolate.

It is vital that parents do not send anything containing nuts as we have some children with nut allergies.

Universal Free School Meal:

Presently, ALL Reception and KS1 children are entitled to a Universal “Free School Meal”.

However, if you are in receipt of any of the qualifying benefits, you MUST register each of your children with the Free School Meal Team at BANES. This will bring in additional funding to school to support your child’s education (called Pupil Premium).
