WASPS: Nurturing spirituality, creativity and excellence

“I can do all these things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

Our vision

Our vision is to provide a place of academic excellence intertwined within our set of Christian values, developing happy, confident, creative, resilient and self-motivated learners with strong morals and a wiliness to make positive contributions to society.

Our vision is rooted in a God who gives us the strength to flourish. We believe that, in all we do, whether working, supporting, creating or playing, we can always face challenge and achieve excellence when we are strengthened by a sense of spiritual belief and faith.

Our values

All that we do within school is rooted in “Nurturing Spirituality, Creativity and Excellence” – children develop their own sense or morals, learn to think in a creative and wide variety of ways and discover their own area of excellence.

At WASPS, the children and their learning are central to everything that we do. Our staff all work incredibly hard to create a learning environment that is safe, stimulating and creative. Children are encouraged to take risks and make mistakes when learning, and are supported to develop the resilience, confidence and self-motivation that will allow them to become lifelong learners.

Our ethos

WASPS has a distinctly Christian ethos, where children learn about the importance of a set of Christian values and how these help us all to understand our importance and responsibility to any community we are part of.

“In a race all the runners run in such a way as to get a prize. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.” Corinthians 9:24-25
